Balanced

This is one of my more recent pomegranates, and with this one I pushed myself to loosen up and use quicker brushwork to catch the light and those vibrant reds, rather than getting caught up in every tiny detail of the fruit. I didn’t overwork any one area, and I think that freedom shows. I let myself simply respond to what I was seeing and become a conduit for the image as it unfolded.
